Dr Torres is a wonderful doctor. I have been a patient with Dr Torres for 7 years. Dr Patel, Michelle and Karen are wonderful as well. I have talked with them all and seen them all. Dr Torres delivered my first baby. My second baby was delivered by the on call surgeon as he came to early. He was in the NICU at Mease Countryside for 3 months. Great NICU staff too. They were wonderful. Since my last son was born, I had medical issues. Dr Torres, after exhausting all my other options, performed the Robotic Laproscopic Hysterctomy on me. It was such a great surgery and the best recovery! After a week, I was back to semi normal activities. The first week I truly need rest, but was not completely out of it. I have been going to Suncoast Women's for about 3 years. I knew Michelle Golding from her previous practice & she was my 1st doc appt--wow, was I surprised to find her again, small world. We have dealt with fertility issues for 6 years & became pregnant on our own,total miracle. We love, love all the doctors & nurses--being a newbie I always felt comfortable & listened too! Dr. Wanda Torres is the greatest Dr. ever! She delivered my son in 2003 and my husband even really liked her! She listens to your questions and you don't feel rushed! Dr. Torres is a fantastic doctor. I found out the evening before we left MI for FL that my pap smear came back with an abnormal reading. I met with Dr. Torres soon after arriving in FL and felt very comfortable with her from the moment I met her. She made me feel very comfortable and explained every process that would be done. I would highly recommend Dr. Torres if you are looking for a gyn that has the best "bed side manner" I have ever seen in a doctor. Deb 03/18/2011 8:28am
If you are even considering a DaVinci assisted hysterectomy...I'm saying "what are you waiting for??" I underwent this procedure in Feb. and couldn't be happier! Dr. Torres is just the best when it comes to bedside manner, gentleness, and provides just an overall good feeling to be with her! The Mease staff was also incredible! I am a major fraidy cat but feel so at ease with the Suncoast staff! I was able to return to work after a week and feel like after all the problems I was having prior to the surgery...I am back to life! Dr. Torres ROCKS! Karen is an amazing midwife! I never had the pleasure to meet her before the delivery room but even still she made me feel so comfortable and calm ( as calm as I could be since I missed the window for pain meds ) . She even stayed for a little after and helped Madalynn latch on... I was so greatful for her calming, reasuring, and loving bedside manor! You can tell she really adores her job! Dr. Torres is an excellent Doctor with a wonderful and professional staff.. I have been a patient there for 6 years and would highly recommend anyone looking for a Doctor to go to her. I trust that in her care things will go well.. Her kindness and compassion plus her medical expertise make her the best their is. Dr Torres is a wonderful person and a Doctor. She is more like your best friend who you can tell anything to. She is very thoughtful of your feeling. I recently has a robotic assisted surgery. It was so much easier on the recovery. Dr Torres was there throught the whole recovery. She was great!! Her staff is wonderul as well. I am go glad I found you Dr Torres. Your have been a gift to me. Dr Torres is a wonderful and understanding doctor. I had just recently moved to Florida and have a long history of Fibroid tumors. I knew that I was facing a hysterectomy, but I didn't have a doctor and was afraid that it would take a very long time before I could get a doctor to help me with this problem. Dr. Torres was immediately understanding and gave me a few different options, including a robot assisted hysterectomy. I did choose the robot assisted hysterectomy. It was the best decision that I could have made. I have had very little pain. I have been basically able to resume my daily activities within 2 weeks. Dr. Torres performed my hysterectomy with the da Vinci robotic surgical device, and I had amazing results! The recovery time is minimal, and I only have a few tiny scars on my abdomen, a small price to pay for a lifetime of relief. I have suffered from painful, heavy periods all my life, and I decided with much consideration, along with Dr. Torres' expertise, that having a hysterectomy was the right choice for me. It has been 2 months now and I am feeling better than I ever have. I am so grateful to Dr. Torres, as well as to her staff, for providing me with such exemplary care, and for making me feel like part of the family. Erin 06/28/2011 8:53pm
I still remember the first day I met Dr. Torres. As an RN I was taking care of a patient of hers at the hospital and I was 5 months pregnant. Little did she know I was unhappy with my OB at the time and since I was new to FLA I thought I was "stuck" with the Dr I had. Dr. Torres came to me at the nurses station and took the time to tell me all about the patient's discharge instructions. During that time I just kept looking at her thinking, "Wow...I wish she was my Dr!" I felt so comfortable with her just after 10 minutes that I told her how unhappy and uncomfortable I was with the OB I was seeing. She looked me in the eye and sweetly said, "You are welcome to come to my office ~ and even if you don't and you decide to choose another Dr make sure you are 100% comfortable with them; afterall they are bringing your child into the world." I was hooked! I called the office the next day and Dr. Torres saw me a few weeks later. I have been a patient for 4 years now and I'm about to deliver my 3rd baby in a few months. Dr Torres and Michelle have been with me through the most wonderful times in my life ~ giving birth to my daughter and son and also got me through the lowest point in my life when I had a miscarriage. They are indeed a special part of our my family. The entire staff from Drs Torres and Patel, to Michelle and Karen, to Natalie, Stephanie, Naline and Jennifer are AMAZING! I freakin LOVE all of you guys! Dr. Torres, Dr. Patel, Michele,Karen the nurses and admin staff. You all were so supportive and caring through out my entire pregnancy all the way up to the actual delivery. I mean even through every challenge and fear I had with this being my first child. I couldn't ask God for a better experience! I will be having all of my little bundles under the care of this practice! Dr Torres and staff are very caring and competent professionals. I moved from NJ in early 2007 and as a senior I was most concerned about finding a GYN that was competent and that I could feel comfortable with. I found both with Dr. Torres. In this relatively short time, almost 5 years. (For a senior girls this is a short time) I have been through some significant changes both with health and family. I Had Dr. Torres do the robotic hysterectomy and I have to say It went way to smooth. Dr Torres and staff kept me very informed with literature and a video to watch prior to the procedure. Dr. Torres's caring nature prior to surgery and after was a blessing to have a doctor who cares and worries about your safety during a procedure. As far as the surgery I say I was up and about the next day with only 3 small scares that are barely noticeable I had the surgery oct. 3rd it's nov. 16th and I'm great I wanted to go to work the next week, but Dr. Torres being in charge she made me stay out 2 weeks. I feel this recovery was better then when I had to have my appendix out almost 10 years ago. I would highly recommend this way if you need a hysterectomy. Barbara 11/16/2011 7:32pm
I had the robotic hysterectomy done on oct. 3rd it is now nov. 16th and I feel great I actual felt great the next day. I was wanting to go to work the following week, but with Dr. Torres in charge with her caring personality she made me wait another week. Dr. Torres and her staff kept me very informed about this new surgery with literature and a video to watch. I have only 3 small scares that are barley noticeable which I'm sure in time will be even less. I feel this surgery's recovery was alot easier and faster then when I had to have my appendix out almost 12 years ago. I highly recommend this form of surgery if you need to have a hysterectomy. I would also like to thank Dr. Torres for showing me she cared about me, my health and safety during the whole procedure, I am on a blood thinner and she made sure the timing was right for my safety it was rush rush get in, with her the safety of her patient came first and for that I thank you, and my kids thank you. I have to say Dr Torres is amazing along with her staff. They are all so kind and caring. I just had the Robotic hysterectomy and Im am so glad I did I feel great. Its been 2 weeks and I am going back to work. If you have to have a hysterectomy I higly recommend the robotic hysterectomy and Dr Torres. Thank you all so much. I have been going to Dr Torres since 2004. My 1st baby was born in 2005 and I have two other babies since then delivered by Karen and Michelle. I love this group. All of the staff and midwives are so nice and helpful. I feel comfortable every time I come to this office. I would recommended this office to anyone looking for a gynecologist and have many times. I have been going to DR Torres since August 2011, I do have to say out of all the OB/GYNS I have been to DR Torres is definitely the best! She performed two surgeries on me, I recently had the Robotic Hysterectomy and it was by far the best surgery I have had. I had this surgery on Jan 23rd 2012 by Feb 6th I was back to work and now I am feeling great. I am actually pain free, I still cannot do housework etc however with time that will come. Anyone needing this procedure I highly recommend DR Torres. 03/20/2012 2:40pm
March 5, 2012 I had the DaVinci Robotic Hysterectomy performed by Dr Torres at Mease Countryside Hospital...I am now a "new" woman! Dr Torres is my Super Hero! AND what fantastic teamwork at the hospital in all phases of my surgical stay. 24 hours after surgery I was ready to go home! I have been a patient of Dr Torres and Michelle Golding for approx. 8 years. I am most impressed that they truely listen to you plus being professional, knowledgeable, skillful and caring. I dont even know where to start, because all the words in this world cant even begin to describe how WONDERFUL Dr. Torres, Michelle and everyone in this office is. I had a complicated pregnancy and Dr. Torres and Michelle took excellent care and concern about me and my baby through the whole pregnancy and on March 8, 2012 Dr. Torres delivered my perfectly healthy little boy via c-section and she did such an amazing job at the surgury! i could have not chosen a better Dr. and team to deliever my first baby! THANK YOU SO MUCH Dr. Torres and staff for being the best that you are! and for making me feel so comfortable in a uncomfortable situation.
