Get to know MichelleMichelle Golding CNM, ARNP was born in Sarasota, Fl. After high school she received her BSN at Western Carolina University, NC near Gatlinburg, TN. fulfilling her childhood dream of becoming a nurse.
Upon graduating with Cum Laude honors, she joined the Air Force Nurse Corps in 1986. For 12 years she became experienced with obstetrics and some Neonatal ICU. She not only was a floor nurse, but also had the duties of staff education and eventually nurse manager. At the proding of her supportive peers, she decided to become a nurse practitioner/midwife to become more involved in the continuity of care for women. She graduated from Georgetown University in 1997, and was assigned to Langley AFB. There Major Golding quickly became well versed in midwifery by delivering well over 500 babies in 3 years. She managed the midwifery program at Langley and contributed to the “AF Midwifery Standards of Care” used by all midwives in the AF. In early 2001, she left the AF for the civilian world and has worked in Georgia and locally with deliveries numbering over 2000+. She is also experienced with Botox/Dysport injections and fillers. Her goal is to empower women through their healthcare and patient education. She has now been with Suncoast Women’s Care since December 2007. Michelle is happily married since 1986 and has two college aged boys, 2 wonderful dogs, and enjoys gardening, dancing, exercising, wine, and especially friends. |
