Quick answers to common questions you might have before visiting
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a referral to see a Suncoast physician?
It is always recommended to discuss your intention of visiting a women’s care physician with your Primary Care Physician (PCP) in order to get clarity if the health plan you are on has prerequisites. It is common for an HMO plan to require referrals. PPO plans usually do not require referrals, but may have circumstances that need to be met for full coverage.
Is there a financing option available?
At Suncoast Women’s Care, our primary concern is the health of each and every woman – our team will gladly work with patients to find a payment plan if it is proving difficult to pay on time. Our office also accepts CareCredit if you are interested in financing into smaller payments.
What will I need to pay when I arrive at the office?
Our office will bill any covered services to your insurance company, but you will be responsible for copayments and deductibles and any services not covered by insurance.
Will my insurance plan provide partial or full coverage for my visit or service?
Every carrier has a unique ruleset and should be consulted with directly in order to determine what is covered by your plan. Consulting your handbook or contacting your agency is the best place to start.
When should I bring my insurance card?
You must bring your insurance card for the first appointment and anytime there is an update to your insurance plan. Our team uses the information on your card to file with your insurance provider.
Can I complete paperwork before my visit?
Yes, by accessing the Patient Portal prior to your Ob/Gyn appointment, you are able to submit forms and save time.
